I had only been on a spin bike for about 10 minutes prior to making this purchase so I didn't want to invest a lot of money in something I might not like long term. After having it for a month here's what I can say about my decision:
Pros:
-Low cost--I paid $247 and got free shipping
-Ease of assembly--took about 30 minutes including the trip to get a lubricant for the handlebar post (we used hand soap)
-Great workout for the money
Cons:
-Chain noise--the noise on my bike gets louder the longer I'm on the bike
-Handlebar configuration--I've read an indoor cycling instructor certification manual and I don't see how the hand positions suggested by that manual can be achieved on this bike. I find that my hands start to feel the pain around the 35 minute mark, but maybe that will go away like the saddle pain???
Then, the dumb move. I was in a cycling store and decided to hop on a "better" bike and unfortunately it seemed as though it was just that--better. It was $900, but I couldn't hear a thing and the motion of the pedals just felt better somehow. If I stick with it I'll spend the extra $$$ when the CAP Barbell model wears out.

I usually do not write reviews but i really love this bike! I have been using my spin bike for about a month and i already notice a difference in the way i feel and my overall body has toned up. The bike arrived in good condition and was easy to assemble. It's pretty sturdy and has a smooth stride. In terms of being quiet, you can hear the chain but its not too noisy. This is how the spin bikes at the gym sound as well. There are transport wheels to help you move the bike around. I usually watch tv while working out. There is no monitor, but it does not matter to me since i have my own heart rate monitor. At a price of $247.00 w/ free shipping from Amazon, this is a great deal! I highly recommend this bike for home use.

I bought my bike about 2 weeks ago and my husband put it together for me. I gave it a test ride and the chain is hitting some thing. It may be the chain guard I realy do not know. My husband has tried to fix the problem and he can't. I am not at happy with this bike. I am planning on sending it back and getting a better bike. I spin a lot and the noise is awful. Wish I had never bought it. If any one knows how to fix the problem please me know. I guest you get what you pay for.
